MIXED VOICES
One World, One Voice, One Song - Singing is our passion
Mixed Voices is a 70 strong choir of Ladies and Gentlemen based in North Leeds. We were formed in 2003 by our Musical Director, Tracy Williams. We perform at various prestigious charity events throughout the year in and around the City of Leeds raising funds for worthwhile causes. In addition we sing competitively in music festivals. Our aim is to bring light music back into the community and we sing a variety of light popular music including songs from Les Miserables, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Abba, Motown and much more.
Our Musical Director,Tracy started singing at the age of 9 and trained at the Yorkshire College of Music and Drama. At 17yrs she won The Julie Andrews Scholarship for singing music and drama. From there she went on to star in various amateur and professional Shows.
Our Accompanist, Dave Burwell started playing the piano from the age of 5yrs and was taught by several acclaimed teachers. He studied in Leeds and has worked as an accompanist for music festivals, examinations and recitals. He has performed as a concerto soloist in London, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff and Edinburgh. Mixed Voices are delighted and honoured to have such a talented pianist.
