Festival Dates for 2010
Entries for 2 festivals in 2010 have been submitted and accepted the dates for these are Saturday 13th March 2010 at Rothwell and Saturday 20th March 2010 at Harrogate, both of these festivals require that we sing 2 songs which show off our musical diversity.

Saturday 13th March Blackburn Hall Rothwell Leeds
Singing at 8.35 pm. All members to be at the venue no later than 8.00 pm. Uniform Black & Red.
To get to Blackburn Hall Rothwell ( for Convenience I have started the route from the St John's Roundabout on the ring road at Harrogate Road ) Proceed east towards Cross Gates A6120 Continue towards Selby then turn Right onto the A642 continue for 1 mile then join the A639 go 0.2 miles then 2nd exit onto Rothwell Lane A654 continue for 0.4 miles and turn right into Commercial Street and Blackburn Hall willl be on the Left. To get directions from the internet Google Blackburn Hall Rothwell Leeds or www.skiddle.com/whats-Leeds/Blackburn-Hall and that will take you directly to their web site. Failing that, try to follow the map below.
Singing at 7.55pm. All members of the choir to be a the venue by 7.20 pm. Uniform Black & Red Take the A61 Leeds to Harrogate Road.Follow the road into Harrogate town centre; with The Stray on your left. Get Well Message We understand that Tony is out of hospital and recovering in the warmth at home and we send our best wishes to Tony and Josie with the hope that we shall soon be seeing them again.
Saturday 20th March Harrogate Ladies College
Keep going straight (Bettys Tearooms on your left),the road is called Parliament Street at this point, and go straight over the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, Sign post for Ripon A61.
About 1/2 mile up the hill there is a large hotel "The Cairn" and the immediate left turn after this is Duchy Road where Harrogate Ladies College is situated.
Parking is available on the residential streets surrounding the college.
As an alternative to these directions there is a good map on the School's web site www.hlc.org.uk
Mixed Voices Recipe Book
Sue Hall of great cakes fame (Sue made the cakes that we all enjoyed at the workshop on Sunday) has suggested that we have a favourite recipe book made up in order to raise funds for any choir exchanges that may come up, Sue would like members to send her their favourite recipes so that she can collate and produce, Sue shown below can be contacted via e mail her address is:-

Lyn Musgrove sings with the Soprano section of the ladies
The men have had another addition to their numbers Gordon Blackwood joined in August a welcome addition to our numbers, you can't fail to miss him as he is well over 6ft tall.
Kim Essex has been with for a while but has always managed to avoid the camera, but there is no hiding place from a prying lens. Kim sings with the sopranos, two other ladies who sing in the Altos have also been hiding but we have caught up with them they are Jude Hoseason & Gill Parry.
Anna Crennell came along a couple of weeks ago and last night ( 19th October ) she was plunged straight in when Tracy asked for soloists whose name began with an A, well done, Anna also sings with the sopranos.
Among the new ladies who came a few weeks ago we welcome Sian Critchett, Hannah Bourne and Suzi Bowers all of these are singing with the Altos a very warm welcome to all and we hope that you enjoy yourselves, that is what it is all about.
